Part of the new Fairfield progress program is the "Street Sweepers Ball".  It is designed to attract people and business owners to get together and beautify Fairfield streets by cleaning and weeding streets, sidewalks, and alleys.

The first event in October, 2002 cleaned the streets and areas around the Fairfield Square and out for one block.

Thanks to all who are participating and/or donating brooms, food, and music!

 
The second Street Sweepers Ball was held April 26, 2003.

About 70 people of all ages turned out to clean the Central Park area and surrounding streets and alleys.

Promotion on FPAC9 of Street Sweepers Ball, 2002. FPAC9 was pleased to promote the Street Sweepers Ball by videotaping a program around the square to explain what was needed and how to sign up to help.  Charlotte Lister, Lisa Metcalf, and Suzan Kessel talked about the Beautification Committee and this first major project to be undertaken in Fairfield.
