Jefferson County Park
was established in
1977 and expanded in 1985 and 1989.
Features of the park include: trails, hiking and biking, picnic
areas, campground, camping cabins, nature center (Indian artifacts,
aquarium, full time naturalist on staff), and wildlife viewing areas.
Special programs include: migratory bird hikes with guides, senior
citizen trail rides, and summer programs for youth and senior citizens
(O.W.L.S. : Older,Wiser,Livelier,Seniors) programs featuring guest
speakers.
Located just south and west of Fairfield, the Jefferson County
Park provides nature activites and a peaceful environment for everyone
to enjoy!
