The Fairfield Municipal Band is one of the parts of Fairfield that makes summertime so special.  

With only a single night of practice, the band of community members performs upwards of a dozen musical selections in Central Park, under the cover of the bandstand.

Choosing music from all genres, the performances stir the soul and brings a smile to the hundreds gathered on lawn chairs and blankets to hear the strains of movie themes, Broadway shows, popular music, and patriotic marches.

When possible, the weekly band concerts also provide the added treat of giving audience previews of current Fairfield Area Community Theatre productions.

Bring your chair and be prepared to be enthralled for an hour each Tuesday.  

Don't forget to patronize the community vendors on the square providing drinks and ice cream!
