About
Fairfield Public Access Television was founded in 1993 through a Franchise Cable Agreement between the City of Fairfield IA and Mediacom Communications Corporation.
FPAC’s mission is to provide community information through the means of Long and Short-Form programming, a community bulletin board and live broadcast of civic and other community meetings/events.
Over the last 2 years, FPAC has made strides to improve it’s quality of programming through the aquisition of new broadcasting equipment, upgrade of current audio/video equipment and facilities and through community outreach. Currently, FPAC utilizes volunteer students from Fairfield High School who assist in various tasks from video taping to working in our office. FPAC has also formed a partnership with LISCO in Fairfield to provide community programming to their customers as well. LISCO is currently upgrading their network to serve all residents of Jefferson County, which will position FPAC to become a leader in community television for the entire county.
