Fairfield City Council meetings are now covered LIVE on FPAC9 when they occur, and are taped for later cablecast the following Tuesday and Sunday of the same week.

Items on the agenda are heard by the council, and presided over by the Mayor.  The meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and usually last one to two hours, rarely more.  Open committee meetings are held by council members prior to each meeting, allowing for informal discussion of topics by less than a quorum.  Closed sessions may be held as well, at which time the general audience is required to leave the chambers.
