The historical Bonnifield Cabin is being restored inside and out.  Flooring (concrete and wood) is being repaired and strengthened.

Our thanks to all those who are putting in the time and effort to preserve this historical Fairfield landmark.

It is believed to be the oldest Iowa dwelling in existence, though not in its' original location.  It has been moved and restored over the past one hundred years, and now resides at Old Settlers Park in Waterworks Park in Fairfield.
