| When needed due to time and emergency factors,
Jefferson County Hospital is able to call upon the air transportation of
medical helicopters based, generally, out of Iowa City.
Requested by the attending doctors, these helicopters are equipped with the staff and equipment to provide speedy care to patients when transporting to and from the hospitals.
